Just to prove that nothing has changed in Groucho's workplace, we offer ou a scissor lift, a ladder, and a coule of very brave but foolish workers.

This scaffold, and we use that term loosely, almost defies logic, and tests the laws of both gravity and common sense!

The lack of base stability, safe access and edge protection are frightening to say the least.

If only the scissor lift had been driven in the other way, the extendable deck would probably have reached, and this pair wouldn't be in this picture.

These photos clearly show that setting up a mobile tower-fram scaffold on blocks and stairs is a recipe for disaster, especially on the edge of a penetration (as shown inset).

Add in, working platforms not fully decked, no plan brace or safe access and some questionable edge protection.

We'd say that anybody using this scaffold needs all the help they can get...
