This Bodgey Scaffold shows workers installing a new fascia panel around the outside of the Hotel entrance.

As you can see, there are many faults to list, but some key things are:

• Working platform not fully decked.
• Ladder used for working platform, instead of scaffold plank
• Climbing up side of scaffold (no access ladder)
• Standing on scaffold frame to work, rather than working platform
• No handrail, midrail or toeboard
• No barricading around the scaffold (this was next to the main entrance to the Hotel)
• Mixture of scaffold parts used from different systems
• Person working on ground, directly under the overhead work
• Power tool hanging by the cord.
